That is what we are breeding for at Piatt Farms. Each year we take a few select mares and match them to carefully evaluated stallions to produce the ultimate sport horse foal. We breed for elasticity, courage, scope and a willing temperament, all of which are crucial for any sport.
More importantly, I want the horse to be of sound mind and temperament. We raise our horses in a family environment which requires a calm, respectful attitude. This lends itself to trainability and ultimately your next competitive partner.
